Finalist: AgriTech4Rwanda Innovation Challenge
Advanced as a finalist in the AgriTech4Rwanda Acceleration Package, receiving targeted business coaching to refine our go-to-market model.

Innovation is the most powerful tool we have in the fight against climate change. For Faminga Ltd., this belief sits at the heart of everything we build—from our IoT-based soil monitoring systems to our AI-driven crop disease detection tools.
Today, we are incredibly honored to announce that Faminga Ltd. has been selected as a Finalist in the AgriTech4Rwanda Innovation Challenge.
A Commitment to Climate Resilience
The AgriTech4Rwanda Innovation Challenge is a groundbreaking initiative designed to tackle one of the most pressing challenges of our time: enhancing climate resilience in Rwanda’s agricultural sector.
Powered by the Rwanda Green Fund through Ireme Invest, in collaboration with the CGIAR Hub for Sustainable Finance (ImpactSF) and the CGIAR Accelerate for Impact Platform (A4IP), and generously funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, this challenge brings together the best minds in technology to solve critical problems for our farmers.
Being named a finalist in this cohort is a validation of our vision: to empower Rwandan farmers with the data they need to grow, thrive, and remain resilient in an unpredictable climate.
Why This Matters
For smallholder farmers, climate change is not a future threat—it is a current reality. Erratic rainfall, soil degradation, and rising pest pressures require solutions that are both technologically advanced and practically accessible.
By integrating precision agriculture and real-time field data, Faminga is working to bridge the gap between complex climate challenges and actionable on-farm decisions. We believe that by democratizing access to high-quality agricultural insights, we can protect yields, optimize inputs, and secure the livelihoods of farming communities across Rwanda.
A Collective Effort
We do not achieve this alone. We are deeply grateful to our partners and the selection committee for recognizing the potential of our work. This platform provided by the Rwanda Green Fund, Ireme Invest, CGIAR, and the Gates Foundation is essential for scaling the innovations that will define the future of African agriculture.
As we move into the final stages of this challenge, our focus remains clear: building, refining, and deploying technology that creates a tangible, positive impact on the ground.
What’s Next?
We are looking forward to the collaborative opportunities that come with this finalist status. We are eager to engage with mentors, fellow innovators, and industry leaders to stress-test our solutions and refine our path to impact.
To our team, partners, and the farmers who inspire our work every day—thank you for being part of this journey. We are just getting started.
